History of Activista Tideco

The group established on 14 February 2014,during the establishment the group has got 16 members. The group was developed by Action Aid but through CBO known as Tipone Development Organisation situated in the northern region of Malawi the community called kanjuchi.

 In March 2014 a lot members join the group and the number of members increased up to 60 then everything was working, but the group were not independent as it was still and affiliate of Tideco.

 AIMS OF ESTABLISHING THE GROUP

·         To gather all youth in the community so that they can discus their problems and coming up with solutions (those of 15 to 30 year old).

·         To bring social change in the community.

·         To display the rights of human being.

·         To promote the coalition of youths in the community.

Achievements

·         have stopped child labour.

·         reduce early marriage in the community.

·         Influenced school drop outs to be back to school.

·         Conducted a human rights campaign through sports

·         Promoting accountability
